Overview
fytkit lets you publish articles on your public site to share fitness tips, training advice, nutrition guides, and other content with your audience. Articles appear on your trainer page and help establish your expertise as a coach.
1. Understanding Content Publishing
All content on fytkit — workouts, recipes, meal plans — uses a Draft/Published status system. This gives you full control over what your clients can see.
- Draft — Only visible to you in your dashboard. Clients cannot see draft content.
- Published — Visible to clients based on the access level you’ve set (Free or Premium).
- Archived — Hidden from both your main list and clients. Useful for seasonal content you want to bring back later.
2. Publishing Workouts
- Go to Workouts in the sidebar.
- Click the workout you want to publish to open the editor.
- In the Details section, change Status from Draft to Published.
- Set the Access Level to Free (all clients) or Premium (subscribers only).
- Click Save. The workout is now live.
3. Publishing Recipes
- Go to Nutrition → Recipes.
- Click the recipe to open the editor.
- Change the Status dropdown to Published and choose your Access Level.
- Click Save.
4. Publishing Meal Plans
- Go to Nutrition → Meal Plans.
- Click the plan to open the editor.
- Change the Status dropdown to Published and choose your Access Level.
- Click Save.
5. Using the Site Builder for Custom Content
For richer content pages beyond workouts and nutrition, use the Site Builder (Pro feature) to create custom landing pages with text, images, videos, and other components. See the Customizing Your Site article for details.
6. Tracking Published Content
Your dashboard’s Content Status Panel shows a summary of published vs. total items for workouts, recipes, and meal plans. Use this to quickly see how much of your content is live.
You can also use the status filter on each content list page to view only published items or only drafts.
Tips
- Batch your content creation: write several workouts or recipes as drafts, review them, then publish them together for a polished launch.
- Use the Go to site link at the bottom of the sidebar to preview your public page as clients will see it.
- Set premium content as a compelling reason for clients to subscribe to your paid tiers.
