Managing Nutrition

Overview

The Nutrition section lets you create recipes and group them into meal plans for your clients. Each recipe includes ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and nutritional information. Meal plans bundle multiple recipes together so clients have a complete eating guide.

1. Create a Recipe

  1. In the sidebar, go to Nutrition → Recipes.
  2. Click New Recipe.
  3. Fill in the recipe details:
    • Name — The recipe title (required).
    • Category — Choose Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack.
    • Servings — How many servings the recipe makes (defaults to 1).
    • Prep Time — Time in minutes (optional).
    • Access Level — Free (all clients) or Premium (subscribers only).
    • Status — Draft or Published.

2. Add Nutritional Information

In the Nutrition section of the recipe form, you can enter:

  • Calories (kcal)
  • Protein (grams)
  • Carbs (grams)
  • Fat (grams)

All fields are optional but recommended — clients appreciate seeing the macros at a glance.

3. Add Ingredients

Expand the Ingredients section and click Add Ingredient to build your ingredient list. For each ingredient you can enter:

  • Name — e.g., “chicken breast” (required).
  • Quantity — e.g., 200.
  • Unit — Choose from g, ml, oz, cups, tbsp, tsp, pieces, or whole.
  • Calories — Per-ingredient calorie count (optional).
  • Notes — e.g., “diced” or “skin removed”.
  • Substitution — Suggest an alternative (e.g., “tofu”).

Add as many ingredients as you need. Use the delete button next to each row to remove one.

4. Add Cooking Instructions

Expand the Instructions section and click Add Step. Steps are automatically numbered. For each step you can enter:

  • Step — The main instruction (e.g., “Preheat oven to 180°C”).
  • Detail — Additional guidance or tips (optional).

5. Add a Header Image

In the Media section, upload a photo of the finished dish. This image appears as the recipe cover when clients browse your nutrition content.

6. Create a Meal Plan

Meal plans group your recipes into structured eating guides.

  1. Go to Nutrition → Meal Plans in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Meal Plan.
  3. Enter a Title (e.g., “7-Day Cut Plan”) and optional Description.
  4. Set the Access Level and Status.
  5. Optionally upload a Header Image.

7. Add Meals to a Plan

  1. In the meal plan editor, click Add Meal to create a new meal (e.g., “Monday Breakfast”).
  2. Enter a name for the meal.
  3. Use the recipe picker to search and select recipes from your catalogue. Selected recipes appear in the meal with their nutrition summary (calories, protein, carbs, fat).
  4. Add as many recipes per meal as needed.
  5. Add more meals to build out the full plan (e.g., “Monday Lunch”, “Monday Dinner”, “Tuesday Breakfast”, etc.).
  6. Click Save when your plan is complete.

Tips

  • Create your recipes first, then assemble them into meal plans — you can reuse the same recipe across multiple plans.
  • Use the category filter on the recipes page to quickly find Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack recipes.
  • Include substitutions for common allergens to make your recipes accessible to more clients.
