Overview
A program is a multi-week training plan built from workouts you’ve already created. Programs are structured in three layers: phases (e.g. “Base”, “Build”, “Peak”), weeks that belong to a phase, and days within each week that hold workouts, notes, or rest markers. You can also attach bonus workouts and pair the whole program with a meal plan.
Before You Start
Programs are assembled from existing workouts — you can’t author a workout from inside the program editor. Create the workouts you plan to schedule first (see Managing Workouts), then come back and arrange them into a program.
1. Open Your Program Library
- In the sidebar, click Programs.
- At the top you’ll see a stat row with Total programs, Published, Drafts, and Archived counts.
- Use the filter bar to narrow the list by status, and the view switch to toggle between grid and list layouts.
2. Create a Program
- Click Create program in the top-right corner.
- In the dialog, enter a Title (e.g. “12-Week Strength Builder”), an optional Description, and choose a Visibility.
- Confirm to create the program and open it in the editor.
3. Work Through the Editor
The program editor is split into six numbered sections, navigable from the sidebar on the left. Your changes are held in the form until you click Save in the top bar.
01 — Details
The header members see in the library.
- Level — Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced.
- Goal — Strength, Hypertrophy, Conditioning, Fat loss, or General.
- Sessions / week — Between 1 and 7.
- Visibility — Free (any client) or Premium (requires an active subscription).
- Tags — Up to 20 tags, used for filtering in the library and during member onboarding.
02 — Phases
- Every program needs at least one phase, and can have up to eight.
- Each phase has a name, a colour (used to identify its weeks throughout the schedule), and a focus describing the training intent.
- Phases run in order, and every week you add belongs to one of them.
03 — Schedule
This is where the program takes shape. Each week carries seven days (Mon–Sun), and each day can hold up to ten items.
- Switch between three views using the view switch: Kanban, Grid, and Calendar. All three edit the same schedule — pick whichever suits how you plan.
- Add an item to any day and choose its type:
- Workout — Pick one of your existing workouts.
- Note — A free-text instruction for that day.
- Rest — A rest-day marker, with optional text.
- Scheduled workouts support per-slot overrides — you can rename the workout for that day, or adjust sets, reps, rest, weight, and notes without changing the underlying workout. The original stays intact everywhere else it’s used.
- A program can run up to 208 weeks in total across all phases.
04 — Bonus Workouts
- Optional sessions members can pick up at any time — these sit outside the weekly schedule.
- Click Add bonus to attach a workout, then give it a label and description.
- You can add up to 20 bonus workouts per program.
05 — Meal Plan
Pair the program with a meal plan so members see training and nutrition in one feed. Use the toggle in the section header to switch pairing on, then choose a mode:
- Single — One meal plan for the entire program.
- Per phase — A different meal plan for each phase.
- Per week — A different meal plan for each week.
06 — Review
A final summary before you publish, showing the program’s Duration in weeks, number of Phases, total Sessions, and count of Unique workouts. Use it to catch empty weeks or a phase you never filled in.
4. Publish Your Program
- Click Save first. Publishing is blocked while you have unsaved changes — you’ll see a “Save your changes before publishing” prompt.
- Switch the status toggle in the top bar from Draft to Published.
- A program with no scheduled sessions can’t be published — add at least one workout to the schedule first.
- Use the Preview button in the top bar to see the program as a member will before you commit.
5. Manage Existing Programs
From the program library, each card and list row has an actions menu:
- Unpublish — Return a live program to Draft, hiding it from members while you rework it.
- Archive — Retire a program you no longer offer. Archived programs can’t be opened in the editor.
- Delete — Permanently remove the program. You’ll be asked to confirm.
Tips
- Build one representative week first, then duplicate the pattern across the phase — it’s far quicker than filling every day from scratch.
- Use per-slot overrides for progressive overload: schedule the same workout each week and nudge the sets or weight, instead of creating near-identical workouts.
- Give phases distinct colours — at 12 weeks and up, the colour coding is what makes the schedule readable at a glance.
- Keep the program in Draft until the full schedule is filled in. The Review section is the fastest way to spot gaps before members see them.
